Interesting Ambrose Burnside Facts

Like his fellow cadet Grant, Burnside's name was changed due to an error in the roster when he was admitted to West Point. General Abrose Burnside's "true" middle name was "Everts" but when he was admitted, his name was incorrectly recorded as "Everett".  From that point on, he went by the new middle name.
