The World Wide Web Becomes Available as a Public Service
On this day in 1991, the World Wide Web was made publicly available as a service on the internet.
The first web pages described the service itself and they were created with the first web browser which was
developed by Tim Berners-Lee.
By purchasing history books or DVD's from the Interesting History web site, you
are helping to cover the expenses and keep the website free for everyone. Thank you.
